Did a maximal aerobic capacity (MAP) test and came out with 398 watts. This is only an eight watt improvement since my last MAP test, but hey, I’ll take it. I wasn’t as motivated as last time and my warm-up wasn’t as good. So in hindsight, I feel that I could eke out a few more watts. I’ll probably just re-test in the next couple weeks.
After the test, I spun easy for a few minutes then did a 20-minute LT interval. The single test alone doesn’t really make for a full workout so I like to add some L3 or L4 after the “test” portion is over. After maxing out like that, intervals always feel harder for the given wattage, but I got her done and then warmed down for 10 minutes.
