It’s been a few days since we’ve been back from our cruise but I still get the sensation of rocking once in a while. I’ll usually feel it doing mundane things, like washing my hands or walking up the stairs, but I notice it most while riding rollers. It’s strange how long it takes to readjust to being on solid ground!
With 40 minutes of LT yesterday, I just wanted to do 3×15‘s today, so I jumped on the rollers. When I first started riding, my legs felt so heavy. But after five minutes, they started to feel better. I spun a lot on the first interval so my wattage wasn’t that high. I dropped it down a cog for the second interval and it was much easier to keep my wattage up. After the second one, I wasn’t even tried so I decided to do a third interval. I used the same gear and pushed it even more.
I averaged 283 watts on the third one. In hindsight, that the first interval was more like a of a “warm-up”, but 3×15‘s sounds better!
