It’s been another easy week so far as I still feel slightly overtrained. I rested last week and seemed to be getting better by the weekend, but after Emmett-Roubaix, I felt like I was back in the hole. I feel fatigued during the day, just doing every-day tasks. Then when I get on my bike, the perceived exertion is high, even while riding at a low wattage. So I took it easy the last couple days and only went out for an hour today. It felt better than it has, but still not great. With no big races in May I’m going to play it conservatively and continue to rest until I feel better. My chronic training load (CTL) is taking a nosedive, but since I ended up being a slave to “making my hours” last year, I’ve vowed to not be a slave to CTL this year!
