Today I pre-rode the Slammer course with my team. It was a gorgeous and warm day with a slight breeze. We headed out at an easy pace until we got out to the course. We stopped and talked strategy then did a lap of the course, with a diversion up the finish stretch. We pushed it on the finish stretch giving me a good VO2-type effort. Then we turned around and completed a proper lap where we mostly rode tempo. I did a Level 6, 1-minute push on Hubbard and it felt decent. My legs still have some residual fatigue, but my power was good. It was great to be out as a team and we’ll see what we can do tomorrow in our first road race of the year!
