I thought I’d be able to add a third day to this weekend’s training block, but only five minutes into doing tempo I bagged it. The effort was feeling awfully hard for L4 so I quit and quickly cooled down. I think part of the problem was that this week I was in a slight caloric deficit so my glycogen stores haven’t been fully replenished. So yesterday’s ride put me way under and, despite eating a good amount post-ride, I’m still in a hole. I’m going to focus on eating enough the next little and taking it easy Monday, then start another block on Tuesday.
