Did a nice set of 4×5-minute VO2 intervals today. I think the wattage numbers are slightly low, probably because my PowerTap wasn’t properly zeroed. The LCD recently broke so I can’t see the top line anymore. I still zero the torque before every ride, but since I can’t see the display, I do it based on muscle memory.
Comparing my watts and speed with the last few times I did 5-minute intervals, I can confirm that today’s set doesn’t correlate. My average speed for today’s intervals is more representative of average watts around 340, not 330. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter, it’s still a good training effect. Hopefully, there’ll be a break in the predicted rain tomorrow and I can ride outside.
