Last few days I’ve been doing back-to-back LT workouts. Monday I did a single 1×20, yesterday 2x20s, and today I did a 1×60. In the back of my mind I did want to use today’s interval as a pseudo test; see if I could hit 300 watts for the hour. But I missed it by a few watts. I went just a bit too easy during the first thirty minutes, that kicking it up over the last 10 wasn’t going to get the average where I wanted it. Ended up with an average power of 296 watts and normalized power of 297. I’m pretty close to updating my FTP value, but I’ll wait until after this weekend’s workout to make the switch.
