Even thought it was nice and hot out today—just the way I like it—I didn’t have such a great workout. The Emmett–Horseshoe Bend Loop on Thursday really kicked my butt, but I thought a easy spin on the rollers yesterday would help me recover enough to attempt some VO2Max intervals today. No such luck.
I was just shooting for 4×4-minute VO2 intervals at the low end of L5. I managed to get one done at 339 Watts but my legs were feeling really weak. I thought maybe I just needed one to kick-start my system and would do better on the subsequent intervals. It didn’t help and I had to abort only 1:30 seconds into the second interval. So I immediately turned around and headed home, saving anything I had left, for tomorrow.
