I felt better today once I started riding than I did yesterday. It helps that I rode during lunch–I always seem to have more energy earlier in the day. But despite the nice weather I was actually inside on the rollers. I needed to make it quick so I could get to work in time for some meetings.
I ended up doing a 40-minute Lactate Threshold (LT) interval, where I shifted gears every two minutes. This creates an interesting workout graph, but more importantly, it teaches my legs how to produce similar power at different RPMs. My power was low the first few minutes because I wanted to ease into it and the gear I started in was ridiculously small. For an average wattage of 283, the interval felt good and with all the gear change-ups, it helped make the interval go by quickly.
