I did my standard 2×20 workout today. It felt slightly harder than Saturday’s set and the wattage confirmed it. It wasn’t super hard, but I did have to mentally push it a bit more. To keep me motivated I typically listen to music when I do intervals. My rollers are in the garage where I have a secondary computer set up with a wireless keyboard and mouse so I can surf, listen to music or watch DVDs.
Lately I’ve been checking out what’s on Cycling.tv and watch their free footage (you have to pay for bigger races or live coverage). I mute the sound on their player, set it to full-screen then listen to my music in the background. Works great for motivation, I just have to pay attention when they’re on the twisties; on rollers you tend to follow along the curves! Today I watched coverage of the Eneco Tour that goes through the Netherlands & Belgium. They went through the Westerscheldetunnel, a 6.6km tunnel that is quite an engineering marvel!
