Even though it was looking like the temperature would get past my 38° threshold, I decided to stay indoors. I wanted to do an LT interval and it’s a lot easier to keep the wattage steady on a trainer than out on the road. It’s also more time efficient. So I got on the trainer and did a 30-minute lactate threshold (LT) interval. I actually was hoping to do 60 minutes; I thought after a recovery week my legs would be fresh and raring to go. But 20 minutes into the interval I realized that it wasn’t going to happen. But I did kick it up over the last ten minutes getting into my VO2 zone by the end and it felt good, in a masochistic way. I rested for a few minutes then did an hour of Tempo. It was a good workout and with the weather looking decent for the rest of the week, there may be some outdoor rides in my future.
