Even though yesterday was a day “off”, I didn’t feel like attempting VO2s again, so instead I did 2x30s on the trainer. Since I haven’t done a lactate threshold (LT) interval longer than 20 minutes on the trainer yet, I played it safe with my target wattage and aimed for the lower end of Level 4. But even with that conservative of a target, they still felt awfully hard! This has been a recurring theme these last few weeks. Hmmm…not sure what’s going on? Today’s ride was 1hr 25mins and 108 TSS. And yes, the increase in HR, was probably due to cardiac drift. Even with two fans, I was getting a little toasty in our living room. But it sure beats riding in the 45°F garage!
