Phoenix, AZ — Today we’re leaving for cold Boise, ID. We’ve been staying with family friends from Heather’s youth. They’ve been great hosts and we really appreciated their hospitality. They also were taking care of a dog named Max, which Ted befriended pretty readily. Ted and I would walk Max almost every day. On a walk, Max was a ball of energy, always wanting to run. We found this field that was mostly enclosed and Ted and I had a great idea: We would each stand at each end of the field and alternate calling Max to us. It worked great and Max would run back and forth to the point of exhaustion. Even after that, he’d still walk ahead of you and pull on the leash with good resistance. That is one strong dog!
