Eagle, ID — In addition to weights and cross-training, I’ve also been going to Pilates and Yoga classes. I’ve really liked these and use them for core work instead of using machines or doing crunches on my own. Depending on the instructor, these classes can kick your butt! My personal favorite are PiYo classes where its a mix of both Pilates strength building moves with some flexibility Yoga poses interspersed throughout. Even though they can be tough, I have a hard time recording these classes for their full duration in my training diary. So I usually record only 75% of the duration for Pilates and 50% for Yoga.
