Frisco, TX – I flew into Dallas, TX on Thursday, April 29th. I went to the track in the evening. I saw Becky Conzuelman as I went to register. She asked me how I am doing. I told her that I have been doing well. Her road rash is still healing. Becky said they didn’t get the Houston crash on film. I registered for the Pursuit. The officials were all happy to see me. I wore my cast to the track. Everyone was so supportive. I got on the track at 8:15 pm. There was a guy there named Doug who helped me fix my headset. He also held me on the track a couple of times so I could practice my starts. Luckily I was the only one on the track while I did my pushes. It was very scary to be back on the track. This was the first time riding off the trainer since my crash. The Dallas track is a 250 m wood track with 45 degree banking. They kept the track open until 9 pm for me. They came on the speakers and said, “We will close the track at 9 pm. Is that ok Heather?” I shook my head affirmatively and gave them the thumbs up. My hand felt good while I did my pushes. My parents flew in for the event tonight.
